ReUsable Bags

I love to use re-usable grocery bags at the store. I have a few like this that I bought from Meijer for $1 each that are pretty nice, but getting a little flimsy as they get more and more use. Also, Jer got me 2 ND Credit Union ones from a business expo that are really, really nice. They are alot like the Meijer ones, but made out of stronger material and are more sturdy. One store in our area, Martin's Supermarket, even gives a $.05 discount for each re-usable bag that you use. Not much, but every little bit adds up.
My favorite thing about re-usable grocery bags is that they actually hold a lot more than the plastic bags do, more like the amount that paper bags can hold, and the handles make them easy to carry multiple bags at one time, which means less trips to and from the car to get all the groceries inside. I have 5 bags that I use regularly and can easily fit my cart load full of groceries into those 5 bags. So, I was super excited when I saw this giveaway on a blog I follow. The HotSacks look really nice, a lot like the ones I have from NDCU, and I really like the mesh bags for produce. If I don't win them, I might just have to buy a few for myself!! :)

  1. Riverside Church will be getting these branded and available eventually. It's what Shelley and I use and they are great.
